RoboSub is an international competition that invites participants to tackle simplified versions of challenges facing the underwater maritime industry. These challenges may include oceanographic exploration and mapping, detection and manipulation of objects, and pipeline identification and tracking. RoboSub 2020 The 23rd RoboSub Competition was held online, due to the in-person event being cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. In lieu of vehicle performance, teams were evaluated on a technical design report, video presentation and website. RoboSub is a competition whose goal is to advance the development of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) by challenging a new generation of engineers to perform realistic missions in an underwater environment. Once you assemble your RoboSub team, your mission is to design your sub, or Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) and get it to demonstrate its autonomy by completing a series of tasks.
